Internet of Things (IoT) & Edge Computing

We design secure sensor networks and edge computing platforms that connect your physical assets to your data infrastructure and enable real-time operational decisions.

Overview

Physical assets now generate enormous amounts of useful data, if you have the infrastructure to capture it. FA3's IoT and Edge Computing practice builds the systems needed to collect real-time telemetry from industrial equipment, logistics networks and supply chains, turning previously disconnected assets into continuous sources of operational insight.

Sending all that raw sensor data to a centralised cloud often introduces too much latency and cost. So we also build edge computing solutions that run AI models locally, right where the data is generated, allowing decisions to be made in real time without waiting for a round trip to the cloud.

What we do

  • Industrial IoT (IIoT) architecture: We design and deploy sensor networks using protocols like MQTT, LoRaWAN and 5G across industrial environments, giving you a continuous, reliable data feed from your physical operations.
  • Edge AI and localised processing: We put lightweight machine learning models and specialised hardware directly onto local gateways or machinery. This enables real-time anomaly detection and automated control without depending on cloud connectivity.
  • Digital twins and simulation: We build accurate virtual replicas of your physical assets and supply chains for stress-testing, predictive maintenance and scenario planning, all without any risk to real operations.
  • IoT security and device management: We apply Zero Trust principles across distributed endpoints, using hardware-level encryption, over-the-air (OTA) patching and continuous monitoring to protect your expanded network perimeter.

How we work

We treat IoT deployments as serious engineering projects where security and resilience come first. An unsecured sensor is a direct route into your core systems. Our architectures are designed to contain breaches and keep operations running even when network conditions deteriorate.

We build for production scale, not just demos. Our IoT platforms integrate with your central data lakes and ERP systems so that the data from your physical assets feeds directly into corporate reporting, strategy and forecasting.
